Verity Audio Complete System Helps Xiongfeng City’s “Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Pop Music Night” Event

On July 27th, the “Inter city Coming to Panyu, Popular Time -2024 Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Pop Music Night” event, guided by the Guangdong Popular Music Association and supported by the United Front Work Department of the Panyu District Committee, was successfully held in Xiongfeng City, Panyu District. The background is that the “Greater Bay Area Line 1” was put into operation at the end of May this year, which sparked a wave of enthusiasm among citizens in the Bay Area to travel to Panyu through “intercity+tourism”.

Under the call of the Guangdong Popular Music Association, popular music organizations in three cities and six cities in the Greater Bay Area actively responded to the event. Pop musicians from various parts of the Greater Bay Area took turns on stage and performed many original pop songs, including artists from Hong Kong, Macau, Guangdong, and other regions. The climax of the event was undoubtedly the finale of Beyond band member Ye Shirong’s performance of multiple classic works, which sparked a chorus from the entire audience.

According to Huang Yundong, the head of the Haona Audio Technology Department responsible for this event, the listening area of this event needs to cover more than 5000 viewers, with a distance of about 100 meters in front and behind. As a partner of Verity Audio, Magna has put forward a series of high requirements for the sound of audio equipment. We require that the medium and high frequencies must be able to cover a relatively long distance, and the sound details must be in place, “Mr. Huang said. After multiple improvements, Verity Audio has finally designed a system that meets the high-quality requirements of Magna, which requires clear, powerful, and rich low frequencies without causing too much resonance, because if the low frequency is not good enough in a space, the sound of the entire venue will not be heard clearly.

The sound reinforcement system includes 12 Verity Audio V2 three-way 12 inch line arrays suspended on each side of the stage as the main amplifier, and three groups of VS28B dual 18 inch ultra-low extension in each group for the low-frequency part. There are four V15 single 15 inch speakers at the lip of the stage as front area supplementary sound, and 10 CM15 two-way 15 inch active coaxial stage monitoring speakers are placed on the stage to provide feedback signals for artists and musicians. Both PA and monitor mixing were completed on a DiGiGo Quantum 225 mixing console.

During the event, the Guangdong Popular Music Association officially awarded Xiongfeng City the plaque of “Guangdong Popular Music Association Activity Base”. The Future Guangdong Popular Music Association plans to work hand in hand with Xiongfeng City to promote the prosperous development of popular music and further promote the integration of culture and tourism in the Greater Bay Area.

The sound effect of the event has also been fully recognized by the owners, and Haona plans to soon use Verity Audio in a large-scale performance at a landmark venue in Beijing.
